Under the Surface

Under the Surface

Nobody can really see,
Underneath the surface of me,
Quiet, shy and nothing to say,
Those who don’t know me will see it this way.
Opinions, ideas, I have a voice,
To those I tell I have a choice.
I understand people and what they can do,
I observe, watch and see right through.
Dishonest, uncaring and telling of lies,
Blind to some, but not my eyes.
Look deep inside past the surface,
And you will see that person’s purpose.
Figure out those so untrue,
In a new light people you’ll view.
